Darrell Feltmate's woodturning page

Another worthy site for wood turning. This bare-bones no frills site is chock full of excellent articles and pages on many aspects of wood turning including some stuff I really needed more information on.

Some of the gems I found on the site:
Two different plans for making a "sawbuck" for cutting blanks with your chainsaw. and Making a hook tool with basic shop components.

I have a chainsaw, and I have a number of chucks of green wood that really wants to turn into bowls. The portable sawbuck idea is simple, easy to make, and it looks like JUST what I needed.

The hook tool article is great, because I want to make my own hook tools for working on end grain, and for recreating period techniques to go with the period style pole lathe I am building... or more to the point, planning on building.

Great site, check it out.
